Formwork

We provide professional formwork services for:

Timber formwork around a ground-beam cage, ready to pour

How we build

  • Concrete foundations
  • Concrete slabs
  • Walls
  • Beams
  • Structural concrete elements

We focus on accuracy, stability and high-quality workmanship throughout every stage of the project.

Line and level

Formwork starts with setting out the face positions and building the shutters to the shape shown on the drawings. Our carpenters erect, plumb and brace the forms, then fit stop ends, kickers and any cast-in items. Props and ties are set so the form holds its line under the load of the pour.

Faces are checked for line, level and plumb before the pour, and the forms are checked again during it. Striking follows the sequence agreed for the element, so the concrete carries its own weight before support is removed. The struck face is left ready for the finish the specification describes.

  1. Set out the shutter positions and kickers
  2. Erect, plumb and brace the forms
  3. Check line and level before the pour
  4. Strike in the agreed sequence
