Below the slab
A groundworks package starts with clearing the site and stripping the ground down to a working surface. We then dig to formation, lay drainage runs and build the foundations and bases the structure sits on. Backfill, capping and sub-base follow, bringing the ground up to the levels shown on the drawings.
Setting out comes from the site grid and the levels on the issued drawings. Formation, pipe runs and finished levels are checked as they are built, and again before anything is covered. We hand the ground over at the agreed level, with the drainage tested and the record drawings marked up.
